Hallowed be Your NAME (Matthew 6:9) #hallowedBeThyNAME #come #hallowed18
Matthew 6:9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
“‘Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name”
If we want the name of JESUS to be hallowed (held holy), we need to pray.
In the world we live in, we see nations where Christians are a minority, but the name of JESUS is held in high esteem. These Christians in the main are committed to the discipline of prayer.
Paradoxically, “Jesus” and “Christ” are used as swear words in the West that has a Christian majority.
We need to pray, if we want the name of God to be held holy. It is HIS name that has the power to save our nations.
Hallowed is the Spirit-led alternative to Halloween for adults, teenagers, and children. It is a national gathering of the church across different generations for a time of worship, prayer, preaching and great fun! We charge a small entry fee in support of charity.
What should I expect at Hallowed?
Expect to have fun, enjoy some great food followed by worship, prayer and an inspiring message. People are often surprised to find that Hallowed begins with entertainment! But the bible says the joy of the LORD is our strength (Nehemiah 8:10) and laughter is good medicine (Proverbs 17:22). God is the God of Isaac (laughter). Laughter can break barriers, and heal us of pain.
SunDay of the Child
On Sunday 28 October 2018, spare one minute to pray for children all over the world.
Join us from 24 September – 4 November in fasting. The bible says “if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” – 2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV. “Humble themselves” is a call to fasting, a time of repentance (“turning away from our own wicked ways, and turning to walk in God’s ways”). Listen to this interesting and easy to listen video lesson about fasting You will be surprised to find that you can fast too!
September 24 – November 2, 2019
Join Christians around the world to fast and pray during this “Hallowed” time of corporate fasting.
And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting. Mark 9:29 (KJV).
